Wine Eyed Jill is a great variety for floral arranging. As the demand for 'unicorn' dahlias has risen, she is often overlooked in tuber sales. While I do love a good unicorn, I grow with the intent to design with my dahlias, and she’s a good one for that. The bloom color fluctuates throughout the season and can present as plum, yellow, pink, or a mix of all three—making this multi-toned variety a good blender that bridges colors in arrangements. Blooms are also on the petite side, so they’re easy to work with. She’s a winner.
