The first RM Moonlight bloom stopped me in my tracks. The beautifully shaded lavender petals are stunning—edges hold a deeper purple while the centers are softly washed with color, creating an illuminated, glowing effect. The flowers also have petaloids, a favored trait among some dahlia breeders. Plants were the tallest in my patch, bloomed prolifically, and were also good seed and tuber producers; the tubers are gorgeous and overwinter easily—as shown in the last photo.
