RAEANN'S ORION

RaeAnn’s Orion (2025 intro) is a lovely Orchette-type dahlia with cranberry petals that gently fade at the tips and white twizzles. The petal reverse is softer in color and rolls slightly inward at the tips, creating a striking contrast with the darker faces

If you don’t already grow orchid-type dahlias, I highly recommend trying them—those long, pointed petals make a bolder statement in arrangements than any other dahlia form I’ve used, making them fantastic for floral design.

Note: The last photo shows the petals curling backwards. This is not the bloom’s natural form but the result of accidentally placing the stems in an empty bud vase the day I photographed them. I contemplated leaving the photo out, but I still found them beautiful even as they were wilting.
