It’s really hard to pick a favorite dahlia because there’s a perfect dahlia for every occasion and style, but if I had to choose just one for floral arranging, it would be Lee’s Savannah Spring. I love flowers that are both pink and yellow, and this one does it like no other—large, fluffy blush-pink blooms with pale-yellow faces and beautiful curling, laciniated petals edged in pink. The petals look like a shifting rainbow of pink and yellow, giving them an opalescent shimmer. This one is drop-dead gorgeous, a joy to arrange, and adds incredible, lush texture to floral designs—a must-grow!
Photographed alongside Lee’s Savannah Spring are dahlias Burfoot Eva and My Forever; these photographs show late-season LSS blooms that are golden-cantaloupe in color. The arrangement photos also feature dahlias Rosemary Webb and Lee’s Pink Grapefruit.
